STUDIES IN ROMANS
LESSON 67
WELCOMING
EACH OTHER LIKE CHRIST
Romans 14:1-4 (KJV)
14 Him that is weak
in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. 3 Let
not him that eateth despise
him that eateth not;
and let not him which eateth not
judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. 4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own
master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
Romans
14:1-4 (CEB)
14 Welcome the person who is
weak in faith—but not in order to argue about differences of opinion. 2 One person believes in eating everything, while the weak person
eats only vegetables. 3 Those who eat must not look down on the ones who don’t, and the
ones who don’t eat must not judge the ones who do, because God has accepted
them.4 Who are you to judge
someone else’s servants? They stand or fall before their own Lord (and they
will stand, because the Lord has the power to make them stand).
